Five Villages Celebration

The Brief

The Five Villages Celebration was created to bring the communities of Manyana, Cunjurong Point, Bendalong, North Bendalong and Lake Berringer together for a free spring gathering at Yulunga Reserve.

Centred around maypole dancing, a shared long lunch, live music and community tree planting, the event needed a visual identity that could capture both the exuberance of spring and the warmth of an old-fashioned village celebration

The Challenge

The campaign needed to communicate quite a lot without losing its sense of fun.

The visual language had to feel distinctly local and celebratory, appeal across generations, and work comfortably across different formats, from a large event poster to a double-sided handout and a series of social media posts.

The Result

A richly layered campaign drawing on native spring flora, vintage festival graphics and archival-style imagery to create something that feels both nostalgic and unmistakably of this place.

The visual language was carried across the event poster, double-sided handout and social media campaign, creating a cohesive identity while allowing each format to do a different communication job.

The result is a campaign that feels less like event advertising and more like an invitation into the celebration itself.
