Facing East

My design journey began in the crafting of promotional posters, flyers, social media campaigns, and yoga timetables for my yoga studio throughout the late 90s and early 2000s.

I used simple software, and a felt sense of design principles to promote hundreds of events, our yoga teacher training program, and the work of the guest teachers and presenters we would host.

Crafting content was part of the job, it was a joyful bonus that people resonated with the result.

Around 2005, I co-created my first website with a local developer, transferring the ‘feeling’ state I accessed in my print media work into a bright, evolving digital form. I fell in love with the creative possibilities of website design and the powerful story that words, colours, and images combined can tell.

I loved it, not just to promote something or to educate, but because it stirred something deeper related to beauty, resonance, and alignment.

In 2020 when global shifts began hacking at the edges of the way we did things, I built my first solo website while simultaneously closing the bricks and mortar of my yoga studio.

What grew was my interest in combining the Jungian archetypes with graphic and website design. This became the unique expression of characters, themes, colours and language of each business I work with.

By designing in conscious alignment with my client’s unique signature, each naturally stands out from the rest, grabbing the attention of their Soul-aligned clients who truly ‘get’ the work, recognize its value, and are happy to invest in whats on offer.

I write a monthly newsletter, now in its 20th year, that has over 5000 active subscribers who, like me, are drawn to poetry, music, and a little art with their spirituality. I have written a book on the Spiritual journey of motherhood, and another, on Taoist Seasonal Theory in Yoga, is well underway.

To storytell brings me joy and is a skill I have turned to an array of topics for different clients over the years.

I work exclusively with Squarespace as a Circle Member designing and building websites and a raft of curated supporting media for Awake clients all over Australia.
